Alexis Milo Caraza
General Director of Miranda-Telekonomics
Alexis Milo Caraza is the General Director of Miranda-Telekonomics, a firm specializing in economic, financial, and telecommunications consulting. Prior to this, he served as Chief Economist and Head of Research at HSBC Mexico. Before joining the Bank, Alexis was appointed Commissioner at the Federal Telecommunications Commission by the President of the Republic in 2011. His previous public sector roles include Chief of Staff to the President of the Republic, General Director of Public Debt, and Director of Fiscal Policy at the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit. He has also worked as an Economic Researcher at the Bank of Mexico.Alexis Milo holds a Bachelor’s degree with honors in Economics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) as well as a Master’s and Ph.D. from Yale University. He has taught Economics, International Finance, and Telecommunications Regulation at ITAM, CIDE, and Colegio de México.
