Alexis Milo Caraza
Alexis Milo Caraza General Director of Miranda-Telekonomics
Alexis Milo Caraza is currently the General Director of Miranda-Telekonomics, a firm specializing in economic, financial, and telecommunications analysis and consulting. Previously, Alexis was Chief Economist and Head of Research at HSBC Mexico. Before joining the Bank, Alexis was a Commissioner at the Federal Telecommunications Commission, a position to which he was appointed by the President of the Republic in 2011. Previous positions in the Public Sector include: Chief of Staff to the President of the Republic, General Director of Public Debt and Director of Fiscal Policy (the latter two at the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit). He was also previously an Economic Researcher at the Bank of Mexico. Alexis Milo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (with honors) from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and a Master’s and Ph.D. in the same discipline from Yale University. He has taught Economics, International Finance, and Telecommunications Regulation at ITAM, CIDE, and Colegio de México.
